Our Latest Capacity-Building Course
The DPI Academy held a one-day workshop in Bangalore with the Manila Technical Resource Lab to deepen understanding of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for advancing digital transformation efforts in the Philippines.
The workshop explored how DPI principles—interoperability, inclusion, privacy, modularity—can be put into real-world practice and highlighted a key gap: barriers to adoption often overlooked by implementers.
In follow-up sessions, DPI practitioners shared sector-specific insights from health and digital payments, emphasising how addressing contextual challenges is key to building DPI that drives meaningful adoption.

As part of the Knowledge Pillar of the Academy’s initiative, we are currently developing the State of India’s DPI report, which will delve into the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). The working title of the report is Governance of Unified Payments Interface (UPI): An Ecosystem Analysis. This report aims to explore UPI governance by examining the experiences of both end-users and merchants through a quantitative survey, complemented by qualitative insights from key ecosystem participants, including regulators, banks, and payment service providers.
